I went to McCall with 2 of my oldest friends for a weekend away. We stayed at the very fancy Shore Lodge on the lake. The room was expensive but we only stayed one night so we made it work. We left Saturday morning and meet at the grocery store up there. We bought a few drinks and snacks we might want through out the night. Then we went to lunch at Mexican restaurant. The food was fantastic.

Our room wasn’t ready when we got to the hotel so we went to the bar and had a few drinks. When we got to our room it was pretty great. We had a nice view of the lake.

We hung out in our room for a while talking, napping and watching TV. We were going to eat dinner at the restaurant in the hotel but it was under a remodel so they only had a small menu of food at the bar. We went back to the bar. The food was again delicious! I had the most delicious brie I have ever tasted. And a wonderful burger.

It happened to be prom night so we got to see all the kids dressed up out on the docks taking pictures. There was also a wedding that night we got to see the couple run out with their family and friends holding sparklers. It was fun to see all those special moments from our room.

After dinner we put on our swimming suites and went to the hot tub. It was a huge tub. It was freezing out but the water was nice and in fact we got hot. We were not brave enough to jump in the pool to cool off though.

We made it back to our room, talked a bit more and then went to bed.

It was a really nice time and so glad we get to do things like this.
