Jaelee’s last band concert was scheduled the same day as track districts. She super did not want to miss her last concert. There were a few kids who skipped districts all together to be there for band and there were several like her who tried to make it to both. We were not sure she was going to make it.

Like I said at the end of the last post her heart was no longer at track by the time she got to shot put but she stayed and threw (luckily she was in the first group to throw). We all knew she didn’t do well so we ran to check the kids out and to the car to make it to band.

We made it just in the nick of time. She had enough time to grab her instrument and get to the gym, still in her track uniform. The whole band only played a couple of songs, they had a few kids do solos. I gotta tell you all those kids are so talented! Glad we made it to the last concert and we look forward to see her continue in high school!
