Jaelee and I haven’t been to Art in the Park for a few years because they stopped doing it with COVID. Luckily it was back in full swing this year. We did our tradition of riding the school bus down there from the mall. I however left my wallet in my car. We were lucky enough to find vendors that took tap and I could use my phone so we didn’t need to go back and get it.
We walked around and looked at all the booths and then decided on the few we’d like to go back to and look at closer. We ended up loving a both from a local artist that makes jewelry wit empowering messages. We each got a necklace. We also got matching copper thumb rings.
When we were done and about to head back to the bus. I recognized the former secretary at my high school. Her daughter was a good friend of mine in high school but we lost touch a few years after graduating. Her husband was a pilot in the air force and they moved to Japan. She doesn’t use social media so we lost contact. After I saw Mrs. Jamison I saw Amber and called out her name! We stood there talking for almost 2 hours catching up! I was so glad to see her. Whenever we have a reunion or something come up in our home town the only person I really wanted to see was Amber. I found out she has moved back and her and her husband bought 20 acres just a few hours away. He’s retired from the air force and now flies commercial for United. She is a stay at home mom that does home schooling. So grateful I ran into her and I hope we get to catch up again sometime. I could of talked to her for 2 more hours!
I did not get a lot of photos but glad I got one of me and Amber!
