Jayse’s 7th game was against Timberline a team that was undefeated.

Before Greg left the hospital we asked if he could go out, we had Jayse’s game and that weekend Jaelee’s marching band comp in Spokane. He said as long as he took it easy he would be fine to go.

We arrive to Jayse’s game early to make sure we could take our time and get seats pretty easy.

For the kids playing an undefeated team they did so well. For every touch down their team got we got one. By half time we were up!

The second half was a nail biter. Again they scored and then we scored. We were up with 50 seconds left in the game. We had just got a touchdown so we had to kick it off to them. I figured with 50 seconds they would be able to stop them but they got the ball at kick off and ran the ball back for a touchdown in seconds.

We got the ball back and marched it down the field again. We were down by our goal with 4 seconds and one play left. Our quarter back threw the ball to a kid in the end zone and he caught it and then couldn’t hang on to it and then the time was done. We lost 44 to 42 but what a great game! It was a crazy game and hard one for Greg to stay calm and keep his heart rate normal.

Jayse wasn’t feeling good this day and we weren’t sure he would play. He did play some but not much. I got a few photos. The field was pretty dark so even those few were not that great.
