For the last home football game the Pep/Marching band performed. It was also the night the 8th graders got to come be with the band to see what it’s like in high school. Jaelee had been looking forward to this because she had such a great time doing it when she was an 8th grader. She had a good great time.

The marching band performed almost all of their performance. Everything but the last set in the 3rd movement. I just loved watching them. I got chills every single performance. It was so good. I was just beaming with pride for that girl of mine.

Greg and I left after their performance. The football game was getting beat pretty bad so there was no real reason to stay.

I went back and picked up the kids after the game. My car had been acting weird for weeks. Making a weird noise. On our way to the game the steering got hard and I knew something was going on for reals. When I picked the kids up I had a hard time turning the wheel and it made a different weird noise while backing out of the parking spot but I got out so I went on.

Band has a tradition of going to IHOP, they didn’t have practice in the morning so they were all going to go out. I drove Jaelee to IHOP but she was early so we went over to the grocery store to pick up a snack for Jayse and I. I didn’t want to turn my car off cuz it was acting weird. Jaelee stayed in the car and Jayse and I went in. When we came out the car was still running and seemed fine. But when I tried to back out I had 0 steering. I could not turn the wheel for the life of me. I pulled back into the parking spot and called Greg to come get us. Jaelee walked over to IHOP.

As Jayse and I were waiting for Greg the lights in the car all came on and it started blinking, then Jayse and I smelt burning electric. I turned the car off and got out to check for smoke. I didn’t see any so I got back in and tried to start the car but it just clicked. I got on my insurance app and requested a tow truck. Greg picked Jayse and I up.

My car was towed to the house and Greg looked at it a couple of days later and found out the alternator went out. He got a new one and fixed it right up.

That night I picked Jaelee up at 1 AM. She had a great time with the band I love that she loves it so much.

I still had my friends lens and got some good close ups of her. Her face is always so serious, she says it’s because she’s focused and they are supposed to be serious. No smiling or laughing while performing. They even practice standing there while people try to make them laugh or smile. That girl has got it down. She stays very serious.
