For my 40th birthday I told my family I wanted to hire a professional photographer while we were in Paris. So I could be in photos and so I could have nice photos of my fam in an iconic city.

Our photographers name was Pierre. He was pretty great. He was friendly, was assertive enough to get people out of our photos and goofy enough to try and get us to smile. Every place we went was pretty packed with people but you can’t tell from these photos. He did a great job.

Our energy was pretty low by the time we were doing photos. We’d been walking for hours already and were pretty tired. I’ll be honest we were not getting the best sleep. It was 60 degrees in Paris and our hotel room was HOT. We are used to sleeping in cold and so it was a struggle. All that to say we were not the most energetic excited bunch. He did what he could.

We walked around different areas taking pictures. Some of the places I really wanted to go were closed. Paris is hosting the summer Olympics so a lot of areas are closed or under construction. We still had great spots though.

We were lucky it wasn’t foggy, you could see the Eiffel tower clearly.

Some of these poses were goofy but I’m not mad, you gotta try and he was trying to get us to laugh.

I don’t love this pose with Greg and I and it’s the only one he got of the 2 of us. It is what it is.

Overall I’m happy with the photos and I would do it again.
