My good friend Greg – who I like to go take pictures with got me and him a membership to the Boise Camera Club. Him and I had been talking about joining them for years but we just never did. It was very thoughtful of him to get me that for my birthday!

When I got back from Europe we had our first field trip with BCC. We went to Caldwell to their Christmas lights display. It was SUPER foggy out and really hard to get pictures. I had also been there a month before when Jenelle was here. It was also very cold out.

We got to meet a few of the other members briefly and then we just walked around and got some photos. The cold and fog definitely made it difficult.

No matter what I tried the lights just didn’t look as pretty as in person. I tried to find different ways to photograph the lights, like making them blurry or looking for different angles.
