We are back in track season. This was actually the 2nd track meet but Jaelee has been dealing with an ingrown toenail and missed too many track practices to make it to the first meet – so this is her 1st Track Meet. The doctor had to remove part of her toe nail and chemically burn both sides of the bed so it wouldn’t grow back and hopefully stop the issue she keeps having.

Anyway, she was able to make it to the 2nd track meet of the season. She is doing shot and discus again. Jayse decided not to do track this year. Despite us and many many other people telling him he should.

The first track meet was at Mountain View high school.

Our weather here has been cold. In fact we are about to break a record for the most days in a row under 60. The last day we had over 60 degrees was Nov. 1st….150 something days ago. I have always loved the 4 seasons here but I gotta say this cold long winter has me saying I want to move to Arizona. I bring this up because it was COLD during the track meet. It looked sunny but the wind chill was horrible. It was only 40 degrees out and windy. I don’t know how those kids were out there in tank tops and shorts. Luckily they all had sweaters and pants to put on in between flights.

While Greg, Jayse and I froze on the sidelines. Jaelee did really well. She threw good in discuss and broke her own personal record. Her heart just is not in shot, she doesn’t love it but still competes. She did ok in shot.

Regardless she seems to be having fun in track and that’s all I can hope for.
