For the JV Track Championships it was all day. We had to be there at 8:30 am. It was still pretty cold out so I made sure to dress warm with double socks and boots.
Jaelee started with discus and she did really well! Enough to qualify her for finals.
Greg had over scheduled himself and could only stay for her first round of discus. He had to leave after that to go bear baiting….can’t tell I wasn’t a little bitter about that can you?
Anyway once he left and Jaelee threw in finals she got a PR! She ended up coming in 6th place overall. So proud of that girl!
We know that shot is not her thing but she keeps trying. She threw pretty well for shot but didn’t get a PR and didn’t make it to finals. I gotta say I don’t think either of us were too sad about that. It was about 12:30 when she was done and we were happy to get out of there and go get some lunch.
She had a great track season. Her coach told me afterwards that she has been a pleasure in track and he’s very proud of her and looks forward to years to come. I couldn’t agree more!
