On Thursday Theresa and Jamie left to go to Switzerland while the other 4 of us left to go to the Italian Rivera coastline of Cinque Terre. It’s 5 small fishing villages located close to each other, Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. I had not been there so I was very excited for this part of the trip and it did not disappoint. It was definitely my favorite!
We got up early and road the metro to the train and the train took us directly to Monterosso where we were our AirBnB was.
When we stepped off the train what a site, beautiful blue water, color full umbrellas and sandy beaches!
We had some time before we met our AirBnB hose so we walked around the town a bit. We stopped at a pizza place for lunch and it was one of my favorite meals. The pizza was delicious.

Our AirBnb was a charming apartment by the front of the town, this was our view from the window.

After freshening up we went back out to explore.

Had to get my feet in the water.

I wanted to ride the Ferry from one town to the next to see them from the sea. So we got some tickets and waited for the next one. We rode on the top deck of the Ferry so we could see better and I could get photos. Let me tell you it was HOT! Sweat was literally pouring down my back. Thank goodness my sister gave us a hand fans as a little welcome to Italy goodies bag. I used the heck out it.

We took the ferry to the furthest town allowing us to see all of them from the sea. This Vernazza

The next towns in the distance.

Corniglia is the only one you can’t get to from the water. You have to hike or take a train.

Riomaggiore. Monterrosa and Riomaggiore are the book ends of these 5 little towns. We got off the ferry in Riomaggiore to take a look around. Just before I officially and completely melted into my seat.

You get off the ferry and have to climb up and over a hill, when you get around this is what you see! Just look at the colors!

Took a break from the heat and stopped to get gelato.

After Riomaggiore we took the train to Manarola.

There of course was a lot of people there. Mostly the crowds weren’t too bad. The most annoying part though is people stopping to take “influencer” pictures. Mostly girls with their boyfriends/husbands taking many photos of them posing and mostly looking off in the distance. We decided we each need our own influencer photo. Here is Brandi’s.

We took a train back to our AirBnb in Monterosso for dinner. We ate at a nice restaurant by the water.

After dinner we walked around Monterosso a bit more and then stopped in a little bar for a few drinks before bed.
