My camera club did a field trip out to Celebration Park to capture the Milky Way. Greg went out there with me so he could fish while I took pictures. I was hoping I’d get to learn some tips from a pro that had done long exposure milky way shots before but it turns out that so did almost everyone from the group that was there did too. We are all new to night shots so it just became a trial and error thing.

I got some shots I like and I did learn some so it was a good experience overall. Greg and I were out there until about 1:30 in the morning and it’s roughly an hour drive home. We of course had to stop at Jack in the Box on the way back so we got home at nearly 3 am.

Someone walked by my tripod with a red headlamp on. I thought it looked cool. Like flash had gone by.
