Last year the fair was different for us with the kids bringing friends and basically doing their own thing. This year was even more different.

Jaelee went with her boyfriend on Saturday for his birthday. They spent 11 hours there! They had a good time. They rode all the rides, ate a lot of food and wanted to stay until it was dark to see all the lights of the fair from the Ferris Wheel.

Also this year Jaelee decided to enter her own photos into the youth photo competition. She’d taken some really great photos while we were in Canada and had a few she wanted to submit. She killed it! She got ribbons on all her photos and even a special ribbon on one!

On Sunday Greg and I went to the fair by ourselves. The weather was cooler and a little rainy, it was perfect! We basically just ate a lot of food. We ran into a few friends and chatted with them for a bit. Checked on my photos and went and saw Jaelee’s and called it a day after a couple of hours.

Tuesday night Jayse went with his friend Tristan and went back on Saturday with a group of his friends. I made him take and send me at least one photo.
