By the 5th game our JV team had so many players out because of injuries, grades and just quitting that we no longer had enough players for a team. So for the 5th game they combined the JV & Freshman teams.
We were playing Capital which is our rival and I have a friend with a son on the freshman team so I was excited our sons got to play against each other.
Jayse played really well! He played linebacker on defense and running back on offense.
Overall it was a really good game. We felt like maybe combining freshman and JV was a good thing and we’d get a win finally. That didn’t happen but we played good. The score was 19-12.
The most exciting thing was that Jayse got his first high school touchdown. He was playing running back, managed to find a whole and ran for a 34 yard touch down! I was so excited I’m amazed I got any good pictures. I was jumping up and down and screaming.
My friends son from Capital is #65.

Love this picture of Jayse with the ball, with my friends son trying to tackle him.

Jayse said he was so tired after that run he could barely celebrate with the guys.

He didn’t even get a break, right back in to try for 2 – which they didn’t get π¦

After the game was a bonfire because it was homecoming week. Jayse went with his girlfriend Colby. It was a great night for him!
