We got treated to an early band concert for Symphonic band. They had an opportunity to play with BSU’s band and so we got a bonus concert!

I am so impressed with all these kids! They had been practicing for marching band for most of the year so far and only started working on the music for this concert 2 weeks prior. Jaelee didn’t even get a bass clarinet until one week before the concert.

The BSU director also said they had only been practicing for a bit and normally don’t perform until November.

To my untrained ear they all sounded great! I especially loved the first song the high school did. The first song BSU did was so long, I thought they did all 3 of theirs in one. I was wrong though and they did 2 more songs after. It was all very good.

She always looks so serious but she really loves it!
