Saturday after Night on a Hill was the D3 Competition at Boise State. It’s the largest band competition for the Treasure Valley.
In the morning the low brass group got together and went to breakfast at Joe Mamas. Then they went back to a members house for the pizza smoothies. They put all kinds of gross stuff in there and drink it. I’ll have to get those recipe and pictures from Jaelee.
Then they go back to the school for lunch. I volunteered to help and made a giant pot of mac & cheese and took it over there with a bunch of other volunteers. After lunch the kids went to get changed and get on the bus to head to the competition.
My mom and I drove to BSU to get seats. Greg and Jayse came later so they could pick up his girlfriend Colby.
This year was a bit different, they only performed once instead of twice. We were so lucky the weather was nice and wasn’t freezing and windy like last year.
It was so nice seeing the performance from up high and the whole thing! It was AWESOME! I know I’m bias but I thought there’s was one of the best. They didn’t place in anything though, dang it!
I also LOVE seeing the Boise Thunder Marching Band perform. This is their chance to show off and really have fun and boy do they. The LED lights in the stadium change colors, they have a botanist and a killer band!
It was another great band season!

Jayse got video this time.
