The kids were eligible to get their licenses in September but we felt they weren’t ready yet. When it was getting close to Christmas I thought Christmas break would be a good time to do it. I was working from home and they were out of school. I still felt scared about them driving but decided at some point they just need to do it.
We had an appt at the DMV really early. We arrived and they took the written test first thing. Jayse was done in less then 10 mins and PASSED. Jaelee took a little longer and she didn’t pass. She was pretty bummed. She had hard time with some of the questions because of her dyslexia. She struggles if the question asks which is NOT true. She still did well though and only didn’t pass by a few questions. We knew if she had more time and studied some more she’d get it.
Jayse didn’t get his license that day they still had to take the driving skills part of the test. I scheduled a test for them that Saturday.
We met our driving tester at Wendy’s. Jaelee went first and PASSED! Jayse went next and also PASSED!
I made an appt to go back to the DMV for Jayse to get his license and fingers crossed Jaelee would pass and get hers too.
