I thought this would be the perfect year to go out for New Years Eve. The weather was mild. We could go watch the potato drop downtown. We did a family vote and nobody else wanted to go out – bunch of homebodies. So we all stayed home. We watched a movie as a family and then watched the potato drop on TV and counted down to midnight.

I got myself a new selfie stick and was annoying everyone with it and pictures all day. I set it up to get pictures of us toasting at midnight. We let the kids have a sip of champagne. Jayse thought it was OK and you can see on Jaelee’s face she was not a fan.

It came with a couple of selfie lights so I tried those out.

We had so much ham leftover from Christmas we made a few hams soups, this was a copycat bean with bacon (ham) soup we made. This was day 2 or 3 of it.
