At the kids’ high school you can only go to prom if you are a junior or senior so I didn’t expect either of them to go. Jaelee’s boyfriend is a sophmore and Jayse couldn’t ask anyone.

One day I came home from work and Jaelee was in one of my dresses from my high school dances. She said her bff asked her to dress up because she wanted to do something. They dress up all the time so neither of us thought much of it. She also said to me! Mom I can’t believe you never told me you had such cool dresses! Ha1 Glad I got something cool.

I told her the dress she had on I wore to my senior winter formal. We were out in the shed looking for pictures of me in it when her friend arrived. She had a sign that said What’s the Pasta-bility my BFF will go to Prom with me? How cute! She is a junior and nobody asked her, darn those boys! So she wanted to go with friends. The plan was for her and Jaelee to go with their friend the triplets.

Jaelee had been shopping a lot with Leora prior to her asking Jaelee to go to prom. Along the way Jaelee had found a dress she wanted to buy at Goodwil. It was $10 so I said of course. She wants to save that dress for next year when she can go with her boyfriend. So this year she decided to wear my dress! A surreal moment for sure.

On the day of Prom Jaelee was a bit cranky. Greg woke her up to do some chores and she was not happy about it. She finished her chores and took a nap. I woke her up about 2 so she could be ready by 4. We started to get her ready and were meeting her friends at a park to take pictures.

She told me last minute that she wanted a corsage for Leora. I didn’t think we would find one but we went to Albertsons and the sweet ladies made us one just in time. Of course though Jaelee forgot it when we went to take pictures. So she sent me pictures of their flowers later.

Something happened along the way to pictures and only Leora showed up. We walked around the park and got some great pictures of the 2 of them.

The theme for prom was Masquerade. It was perfect! Jaelee had gotten her and Leora masks in Venice that they decided to wear.

After pictures Jaelee and Leora met the rest of their friends at Red Robin where they were eating dinner.

Jaelee said the prom was alright. It was hot and a bit boring she said. Glad she got to go and experience it.
