I can’t believe it. The twins are 16! How?
We didn’t have anything big planned for their birthday since they both already got trips earlier in the year for their birthday.
We had planned to get the windows in the car tinted for their birthday. I wanted it to be a surprise. So on the day of their birthday I worked from home so I could go steal their car from the school. I had talked with the window tinting place about my plan and they were on board to get the car done so I could have it back at the school before they got out.
They left for school and I followed shortly after in the truck. I parked the truck next to the car and took the car to get the windows tinted. It’s close to our house so I walked home after dropping off the car.
I told the kids I would bring them lunch for their birthday. It was nice for them and also that way they wouldn’t look for their car to drive at lunch. I brought them some McDonalds, they did not stick around they grabbed their lunch and went back to hang out with their friends.
When the car was ready my mom took me back to the tinting place. Before I took the car back to the school I brought it home and put some painting on it. I didn’t want to do too much because I knew the kids would hate it. I drove it back to the school and replaced it with the truck.
I went home and decorated their rooms. Greg came home early and helped me get more balloons and put up their posters outside.
I thought they would call me when they saw the car but they didn’t. I just saw them when they got home. Greg and I were outside to sprinkle them with the number 16 glitter. They both were not having it and had to run in and go to the bathroom and Jayse had to hurry back to the school for football.
After football I made them take pictures with their car and posters and then we went to dinner. Jaelee had gone to dinner at her favorite place, Red Robin on Sunday with her boyfriend so we left Jayse choose where they went on their birthday. We went to Texas Roadhouse.
Love these two so much. Love watching them grow. These two are so great. Jaelee loves band, acting and engineering. She did so great in track this year. She is responsible, creative and love that she embraces her uniqueness. Jayse is athletic, loves football, video games still and he’s found a passion for cars and has many ideas for what he wants to do with the car. He’s been going to car meetups.
