Because of smoke in the valley the first 2 home football games were interrupted. That meant that the marching band hadn’t performed. The director decided to invite family and friends to a Friday night performance.

I was excited to see the Marching Band for the first time this season. I left Jayse’s football game after one quarter – Greg stayed.

They decided to do something different at this practice/performance. They had the parents go on the field with their band member to learn some of the band moves. It was a lot of fun. Jaelee liked giving me direction and teaching me some of what she does. I think I did alright. While we were still on the field they played the music for the show.

We got to go back into the stands and they ran through the whole performance again. It was a lot of fun and so nice to see the performance finally!
