For Christmas we started it our traditional way. Greg and I had made a casserole in the crockpot overnight. So we started with breakfast burritos. The kids can’t open their presents until we eat. Once we eat, they are ready to open them.

We opened presents and were about to get ready prepping for dinner. Greg went to the garage to get something and there was a waterfall coming from the ceiling. He started screaming, ran upstairs and found a toilet had been clogged and was overflowing. We don’t know how long but it was a while.

We spent the next few hours ripping out the dry wall and insulation in the ceiling and then cleaning it all up. Not how any of us pictured spending Christmas.

We luckily got it all done and cleaned up in time to start dinner and still have a delicious yummy Christmas dinner.

A Christmas we’ll never forget.
