Greg’s parents were in town for a few days. The kids were in school and we had to work so it was a short visit. However, on Monday Greg and I took the day off to take them up to the property. We had a nice time. There was a lot of snow up there. We walked up the road through the whole bottom. Some of the snow piled up along the road was as tall as LaRee and I. It sure is beautiful. I can’t wait to have Christmas there. I definitely romanticize the snow – laying in bed watching the snow with a fire crackling. It’s all fun until we have to shovel it or drive in it.
After the property visit we drove into Idaho City. There we went to a general store and got a few snacks. Might of also picked up a new hat or two. We had some paper work we needed to drop off at the county assessors office and did that while there.
One our way back we stopped at the lake – Greg and Steve attempted to fish. It was so windy. LaRee and I stayed in the car and chatted where it was nice and warm and no wind.
Can’t wait to take them back when it’s warmer and there is more road through the property. Some day I’ll get to the top to see those views!
We saw little and bigger tracks in the snow. Steve said they looked like a racoon and baby racoon.

Attempt at taking a picture of the creek. Can barely see it.

Funny now different the terrain is in just a few miles. By the lake not even a hint of snow.
