I hadn’t been able to go to a BCC field trip in a while. I went with them to an auto junkyard and the eagle tree. It worked out perfect because I’d been meaning to go to the eagle tree again.
We went to the junkyard first. It was 120 acres of vehicles. It was so much, almost overwhelming. It was also a pretty muddy mess and hard to navigate. I was scared I’d get lost.
I don’t know much about cars so I spent my time looking for colors and then taking pictures of the types of cars that were there. I spent a lot of time talking with Ernie from the club. He gave me some good places to visit and times for different photos.

Saw rabbits all over the place.

After the auto place we all kind of separated and went to different places. I drove around a bit and went to the 1000’s springs. At dusk I made my way towards the eagle tree. So cool to see all these eagles again. Got more pictures this year of them in action.

Got a hawk flying. Glad I’m getting some practice at getting birds flying. It is pretty difficult but I feel I’m getting better.

I think pheasants are pretty cool looking birds.

Love this shot, with the eagle’s wings wide open and the sun making its feathers glow.

I accidently over exposed this photo but I kinda like the silhouette look of it.

There was a beautiful sunset on my way home. I tried to get a picture of it while driving. The moon was also pretty close to a planet. If I wasn’t on the freeway going 80 and in the middle of nowhere I would of pulled over to get a better shot.
