My mom heart just exploded this day. Seeing both my kids dressed up, happy and going to prom.
I hung out on the deck for the first part of the morning, then got the kids up to go to get our boutonniere and corsage. We ordered them from Albertsons, while we were picking up the flowers we decided to get lunch. Greg was at the property…of course so it was just us 3.
I had rented a limo for the occasion but days before I got a call and they told me due to some staffing issues the limo I rented was not available but they were going to upgrade me to a stretch escalade. I told the kids and they were excited! However, the day of they called me again and said the escalade was having mechanical issues and now our only option was a party bus. Still cool but no where near a stretch escalade or limo. It was what it was though. Not much we could do at that point. And trust me I called them afterwards and got a credit.
But back to the fun part these kids! Jayse went with his girlfriend Hope. She looked so beautiful. She did her hair and makeup herself. Poor thing was having a knee issue and was having surgery after school ended and I had to her walking all around in the dirt for pictures.
I helped Jaelee with her makeup and hair. We kept it to the theme of gold and purple. Just love doing that with her. She went with her boyfriend Walt, who is a year younger then her. So she had to ask him because only Juniors and Seniors can go.
Jaelee’s date had a concert until right before the dance so they couldn’t do dinner. So she went to dinner with her friend Leora. Jayse and Hope went to Longhorn Steakhouse. We had to have the party bus take them straight to the dance because Jayse and Hope had to leave to go to her sisters BSU graduation after an hour. The bus took them all to the dance, then left to take Jayse and Hope to the graduation, then coming back to get the other kids when they were done.
Jayse and Hope were ready before Jaelee, she was waiting for Walt to get done with the concert. So I took those 2 to the reserve by us. Dang it, they are so cute!
Jaelee and her friend Leora were the next to get there. So I got some photos of them.
Jayse and Walt
The triplets got there last for a few photos.
In the party bus and ready to head out!
After the graduation Hope’s parents gave her and Jayse a ride back. They hung out with her family for a while and she brought him home about midnight.
Greg came back to town for Prom. While the kids were at prom he and I hung out on the deck and finished putting together the last few pieces of the new furniture.
Jaelee said the dance was fun but their feet were killing them in heels and they couldn’t stand anymore so they were home by 10:15! The bus was supposed to take them around downtown and let them have some more fun but I guess the kids all decided they were too tired, feet hurt too much and just wanted to go home. Crazy, if you ask me but no one did, ha!
Jaelee took a few pictures.
Got a few more of her when she got home.
