Jayse and Greg went up to the property again with an excavator to keep working on the pad and moving dirt. I met them up there Saturday. They had done quit a bit so Greg tasked me and Jayse with clearing the brush around the creek. Normally when Jayse and I work together we get into some argument. We worked pretty well together this time. He ran the chainsaw to get the big limbs out of the way. I had clippers to get the smaller bits. We then drug the pieces out closer to the road. Jayse then loaded those up on the four wheeler and piled them with other brush that we will burn next spring.

This is how much brush is near the creek. We had a good amount of clearing to do.

Jayse taking a little break and riding the mini bike.

We found some sand along the creek.

We were clearing a little pool area right after this large rock.

We took a break for lunch. I made a P&J sandwich. Greg and Jayse heated chili straight from the can on the stove.

We saw these caterpillars all over down by the creek.

Jayse was making some steps, we were finding flat rocks and he was putting them in the dirt for steps.

Meanwhile I was distracted by all the beauty. Love the big bumble bees, flowers, water and greenery.

That night we made foil dinners. They turned out delicious.

See those big rocks on the right? That is granite that was in the hill. Greg and Jayse had to use a jackhammer thing on the end of the excavator to get that out.

Greg put these large rocks here to create a retaining wall. This is where we plan to put our tiny cabin.
