The camera club did a scavenger hunt at a local nature center. I hadn’t been to anything in a while and this sounded fun. So my friend Greg and I went. I loved the list from the scavenger hunt. It really made you think about the photos and try different things. I should scan that in and add it so I have it. We didn’t get everything to so I’d still like to try some of them.
The nature center is really pretty. There are lots of flowers, plants, trees, water falls and nature. I happened to see a deer!
Some of my favorite photos though were from the parking lot. The sun was at the perfect angle. The sprinklers were on some of the flowers and I loved the glitter effect it gave it.
One of the photos on the list was to take a picture of texture. This was my attempt.
One of the shots on the list was a ant perspective. My friend Greg was laying in the bushes here taking pictures upwards.
More texture. The bark on this tree was really cool. Looked like old pages of books that had curled.
Flowers or macro. Can’t remember what I was attempting here.
I would of loved a macro lens here. To get really close on the bugs. The colors were just so cool. This inspired my friend to buy a macro lens after this. Ha, now I get to borrow it.
Loved the little ducks.
A starburst, from the shot list.
Backlight
Using shadows in a creative way.
Slower shutter speed.
My something blue
A deer just because it’s a deer!
Another attempt at creative shadows
Slower shutter speed
Another starburst
This was when we were in the parking lot and I was just playing around while the sprinklers were on.
These were also in the parking lot. The lightening was just perfect.

This bushel of small flowers had bees all over it. Again, just in the parking lot. We stood there forever taking pictures. Love the fuzzy bees and mating lady bugs.
