Boise Open

We volunteered for the Boise Open for our 4th and finally year. We did the Sunday shift like we have done the last 4 years. Just like last year we arrived early but stood there waiting for a shuttle for 30 minutes. It never came so Greg dropped us off at the event and him and Jaelee drove back to the drop zone and were going to walk back but fortunately just as they got back the shuttle showed up and they were able to get a ride back.

We went to the volunteer tent and got some breakfast and then got our jobs for the day. I was in the same place as the last few years at an exit. Greg was at entrance D like he’s done the last few years and the kids were in golf carts to shuttle.

Jaelee got moved to an exit and Jayse was still on a shuttle. He wanted to trade so they did. Jayse sat at an exit and Jaelee was on a shuttle.

We started to get some rain. They were worried about the weather and the pro golfers so they had every shuttle available go to on the course in case they needed to get the golfers off fast. Jaelee was just sitting in a golf cart on the course for hours. They didn’t end up needing to do anything.

The rain really slowed things down it was a pretty uneventful time. Just glad we could play a small part in getting more funds to the football and marching band programs.

I was stationed by the canal, it has a pretty nice view.

It was raining pretty good off and on. I had a large tree that shielded me from the rain. I tried to get pictures of how much it was raining but nothing really showed it. I took a this picture to show the rain.
