I wanted our Christmas card to be themed around our new property. I thought it would be fun to show it decorated for Christmas and us looking jolly decorating a rustic Christmas tree. Greg had been out at the property hunting, Jayse too. So Jaelee and I put some of our Christmas decorations in the car and headed out to met them at the property.

I had told Greg for a while I needed a tree. He forgot that fact. So we didn’t have the tree of my dreams but a spindly thing he just whacked from the top of a tree near the property. We strung some Christmas lights, turned on the generator so they were on and started to decorate the tree. We put a spike in the ground and tied red ribbon around it and the tree to keep it up right.

Once things were ready I took some pictures to decide which angle I wanted. I chose one and we took a few photos. After looking at them I didn’t like the angle, you couldn’t see the tree very well. So I moved the camera and tried a different direction. This looked better so we went with it and took a couple rounds of pictures.

Initially I had everyone look at the camera but it didn’t look natural so we all just did our own thing and pretended to laugh – which actually made us laugh. When we got one I thought I could use we took everything down.
