For Greg’s birthday his request was to go to our property and burn slash piles. That’s it, that’s all he wanted to do. So that’s what we did. We packed a simple lunch and headed to the property. We burnt one of our piles. While Greg and Jayse pulled more limbs together Jaelee and I went around and took pictures. She got a new camera for Christmas so she was eager to try it.

We hung out there for hours burning limbs and debris. We came back in to town so Greg could get a tattoo. He has been talking about getting a tattoo in honor of his brother Josh for 15 years. I gave him money last year for his birthday to do it all he had to do was pick a place and make the appointment but he didn’t. So this year I made the appointment for him. He got it on his calf, it turned out really great.

That night we went to dinner at Wingers and came back home for cake. I think he had a nice day.

We made the area a bit smokey with our fire.
