Improv Long Form Show

Even though Jaelee hadn’t been able to get to many Improv practices lately because of her schedule – track practices she still auctioned for and made it into the long form improv show.

Greg, Jayse and I made it to her show. The long form shows can be good if you have a good crowd or they can sometimes go long. Sadly, this one some of the skits went long. It just seemed to keep going with some of the skits – they could of stopped them much earlier.

One of the skits Jaelee was in is pretty funny. She is an employee that is late and she is trying to tell her boss why she is late. She hast to figure out what her co-workers are trying to communicate to her is the reason. The reasons come from the crowd. They suggest the reasons while Jaelee is out of the theater. They suggested Eagle Road – which is a busy road here, she just didn’t want to and there was a giraffe in the way. Terrible suggestions, I wasn’t sure how these kids would act these out for her. I recorded that one and took pictures of most of the others.

While this show was not my favorite there were some good moments and always I am in awe of the guts those kids have for being out there and doing this. They have to come up with this stuff on the fly in front of people, truly impressed.

The other skit I recorded was Weekend at Bernies. They were given a scene to do and had to recreate the scene different times but the audience got to pick one member to become like Bernie and the other actors had to move them and act out their parts until there was only one actor left moving and acting out all the other characters. I think again this could of been hilarious but the scene they were given was kind of blah.

First time
