Christmas morning I was so excited I was up pretty early. Greg and I went out into the living room to wait for the kids to get up. I had my video camera ready to video their reaction to seeing that Santa had come. We waited about 10 minutes before I made Greg open the doors and start making noise to wake them up. Jayse came out first looking all sleepy eyed. My video camera idea didn’t work very well because it was so dark you could barely even see them. Soon after Jayse was up Jaelee got up.
They were both so excited to see what Santa had brought them. After they had a chance to wake up a bit we had some breakfast. I had cooked breakfast in the crockpot overnight and it was so nice to have a delicious breakfast already for us in the morning. After breakfast we started to take the toys Santa brought out of their boxes. After the kids had played with them for a bit we thought it was time to open presents.
It was so fun to see them open presents this year. They were so excited just tearing into each present. I loved to watch their expression. They were just so happy to see each present. Jaelee loved opening them as soon as she got one open she would toss it to the side as was into the next one. She tore through hers real fast and wanted to just keep opening more. Jayse wanted to play with each one, we had to keep reminding him to just wait until he got all of them open.
After opening all the presents we cleaned up the huge wrapping paper mess and then started working on getting everything out of its box, set up and batteried up.
We spent the rest of the day just playing, relaxing and having a great time. And we did finally get to see some snow at the end of the day.
There are a ton of pictures to follow but it was Christmas and I have 2 cameras now – which is a little dangers because I honestly am taking twice the photos. Don’t know how it’s possible that I could take more than I already was but I am.
