Our Annual Girls Trip

Jaelee and I have made it a tradition to go to my best friends Amy’s in late September during UofI’s homecoming.  I think this was a 3rd year going up there.  This year I took off Friday from work to leave.  The kids still had school so while they were in school I got everything ready to go.  I had Greg take off half a day so he could stay home with Jayse.  I just would of felt bad if he had to go to daycare while Jaelee and I left.

Jaelee and I made it up to Amy’s in good time.  We had thought about going to the bonfire up at Moscow but that was another hour away so we just all stayed at Amy’s and hung out Friday night.

On Saturday, Jaelee and I got up early so we went to the store and got some muffins and doughnuts for breakfast.  When we got back to the house we all headed out to Moscow for the homecoming parade.  We made it there just in time!  It was a bit rainy out and I didn’t think to grab my umbrella so we just watched the parade and walked around in the rain.  After the parade we went to the farmers market and got a few things.  Then we headed over by the stadium and met up with my boss for a bit.

After being out in the rain we thought we would go grab a bit to eat indoors.   We were all so hungry we just went to the nearest thing which happened to be a Taco Time, yumm!  After lunch we headed back to Amy’s.  We just spent the rest of the weekend hanging out and talking.

It’s always fun to go up there and spend time with her and her family!  And I love that I get to do it with my daughter.
