After Jayse’s game I took the kids and our neighbor to an apple orchard.  We wanted to get a bunch of apples to do an apple bob.

A friend of mine had let me borrow her camera for the weekend for a photoshoot I was doing so I was lucky enough to play around with it before the Orchard.  She has a macro lens so I played with it taking pictures of the kids cute little freckles on their nose.

For October it was actually really warm.  I think it was 90 degrees!  When we go to the Orchard we found out that because of an early freeze last year that they had lost all of their apples and didn’t have any!  We were really bummed but they told us they had a free hay ride to their pumpkin patch so we took that.

At the waiting area for the hay ride they had a bunch of turkeys.  So we went over to check them out.  They were all gobbling really loud.

We rode the hay ride to the pumpkin patch and started to look for the perfect pumpkins.  Of course Jaelee then decides that she has to go to the bathroom.  Out there in the middle of no where.  So we found a semi-private area for her to go.

When the kids had picked out their pumpkins we hoped back on the hay trailer and rode back.  Before we paid for our pumpkins I had the kids stand in the orchard to get some pictures but they were not really excited about it.  It was so hot they were all sweaty, thirsty and red faced.  I did manage to get a few though before we headed out.
