For our last day on our vacation we went to Legoland. We knew there was a tropical storm coming so we wanted to get there as early as possible and hope we could get on most of the rides before the storm came.
Legoland was what the kids were most excited about. While Jayse had surgery on his lip in November he saw a commercial for Legoland and thought it looked like the funnest place ever. They were so excited!
Because of the storm and some light rain there were not very many people there. That was nice because we got on each ride really quick and we did make it through the whole park before some crazy rain started to hit.
A couple times they shut down rides while we were in line because the rain was coming down so hard. Luckily the down pour didn’t last long and when it was gone they would open the rides back up.
During one of the crazy rain down pours we thought it would be a good time to eat lunch so we ran through the rain to a little restaurant and everyone else at the park had the same idea we did. It was packed in there and there was no where to sit. We had to wait quit a while for food and grab a table as quick as someone left. It was nice though to be out of the rain.
My sister had told the kids that you could trade minifigs with the employees and she gave them a few minifigs from Jayden’s legos to trade. Jayse was obsessed with this. He couldn’t wait to trade minifigs but then got kinda shy about it . After his first trade though he wanted to trade them all the time. It was a neat little perk I’m glad we knew about.
One of the kids favorite rides was this one where they got to drive their own cars. They had to take a driving lesson before they could drive and afterwards they got a drivers license. They were so excited about that. They got to drive actual little cars, they weren’t on a track and they were in control of the gas and breaks. They had to stop at stop signs and yield for other drivers. Because there were not many people there they were able to drive several times. It was pretty neat and they still talk about it!
After going on all the rides and walking around mini town we headed to the water park area. We figured we were already wet might as well head to the water park. We were almost the only people there. They had closed down the big slide because of the weather but we still got to do most everything there.
There was this big play zone that had a huge bucket that would dump water all over the play area every so often it was pretty awesome. The kids had a blast running all over it.
We were there until closing time and when we were heading out we stopped and let the kids make some of their own mini figs and pick out a few lego packs.
Once again when we got back to our hotel we were so tired from the day and hungry. We decided we didn’t want Burger King again so we ate at the restaurant in our hotel. It was so busy and we had to wait forever for our food but it was good. Then we got back to our room packed all of our stuff up and headed to bed.
While we were driving from Georgia to Panama City and then to Orlando we played the license plate game. This is a picture of all the states we found. I was blue and Greg was red, I am the winner!
It was an epic trip and one I am so glad we got to take.

Such a fun Summer vacation! They will remember it forever!! I’m so glad we were able to see you! Love you guys!!
