For I believe 4 years now we’ve done an activity advent calendar. Each day in December the kids get a card out of our advent and it has an activity. There are some really simple ones to ones that take some planning. Things like drink hot chocolate, go sledding, draw a holiday picture, make crafts with mom, bake something sweet and so on.

On Monday night our card said Have a Family Game Night. Our awesome little elf, Dori knew what it said and brought us some brand new games to play. The kids were so excited. They started playing Twister before Greg got home from work.

When he got home and after dinner we sat downstairs and played Pie Face. Monday night football was on so we had to sit down there so he could still be in his recliner and watch football, LOL.

It was a pretty fun game but after everyone had been smacked with whipped cream it was like ok that’s done, now what? The kids continued to play with the little wet sponge for a while. I saw they have a new version of this game where 2 people have their heads on there and you push this button real fast and 1 person will get smacked with whipped cream. I think that one would be more fun at least there would be a bit more competition.
