On Sunday our last day, we got up and had breakfast, then we had to clean up and get all the cars loaded. We had to check out at 11 and we stayed to the very last minute. We said our good byes to Amy and her family and they headed home.
I had Greg stop at a few spots on our way out to get some pictures. There is a river I’ve seen for several years that has rocks in it and with snow on them they look so neat in the water. We also stopped at a spot we have been sledding many times and I got a few pictures of the view. I got one other neat photo while Greg was driving of some trees in the distance with a smidge of cloud around them.
The kids had been begging to go to the hot springs the whole weekend so we decided to stop there on our way home. We got there right at opening time and had to wait a bit for the gates to be opened. I thought we would be the only ones there but I was really wrong. There were quite a few other people with the same idea.
We still had a lot of fun though. My brother had hurt his back during the weekend and the hot water and relaxing seemed to help him. The kids had a lot of fun running around the lower tubs with a bunch of kids.
We stayed there for a few hours. We were all starving and stopped at a small gas station on the way home for lunch. Greg said they had some of the best fried chicken he’s had. Love when something unexpected happens like that. It was another great year at the Winter Carnival. Looking forward to next years 5th annual weekend.
(Jayse had ice on his eye lashes that I was trying to get a picture of)
