For the 3rd year Jaelee and Greg went on a date to the Daddy Daughter Dance. Jaelee was excited but she didn’t want to do our usual girl stuff before the dance. She already had a dress picked out from weeks before so we didn’t go shopping. We were going to go get pedicures and manicures but she was having fun playing with her friends in the neighborhood that she didn’t want to stop and go do that. I did manage to get her to do a face mask with me which turned into a disaster, she hated ripping that thing off her face. It was like tearing off a giant bandaid from your face.

I finally made her come in to start getting ready and she didn’t want her hair done. I tried many different ideas, curling it, barrettes, headbands, braids or pony tails. She didn’t want anything, just her hair straight.

While Greg and Jaelee were going to the dance Jayse and I were going to go out and get dinner and a movie. He wanted to eat at the same place Greg and Jaelee. Jayse and I left early to go get a table for all of us and the wait was super long, Jayse and I didn’t have time for that. So we ate somewhere else and Greg and Jaelee waited for the table.

Jayse and I met up with my friend and her 2 boys to see the movie Cocoa, we liked the movie and had a great time.

Jaelee and Greg had a lot of fun at the dance too. They danced a bunch together, Jaelee got a face painting and made a craft. I love this tradition and so glad we all get to do it.
