The mountains in OR are beautiful. I wanted to go up and drive around and get pictures of course. I made the mistake though of not making sure my camera battery was charged. I had to use my phone for some photos and I got some photos with my camera before it died. Since then I have bought 2 more batteries and a car charger, LOL not gonna let that happen again.
Anyway the mountains were stunning. We went through periods of clouds and fog through streaks of sunlight. You can see green trees as far as the eye can see. It’s just beautiful. I wish I was a better writer and could describe the beauty better but I will just let the photos have to do that. We didn’t see much wildlife, just a couple of deer. I was really hoping to see a bear yet again but they always seem to hide when I’m around.
Greg doesn’t like to stop for photos so these are as we are driving, I kinda like the blur.
These are homlock grove trees (Learned that from LaRee) This is a panorama of images stitched together, they were so tall! Pictures do not do them justice.
Love all the moss growing on these.

Beautiful pictures Darci! Those were our Sunday drives growing up….through those tall forests of trees. As a child it was sometimes scary to me, because it always seemed so dark as we drove through them. Of course, as adults our perspective changes and we see the beauty more, well….and maybe part of it was that dad would always(well mostly always) drive on a nearly empty tank of gas(always trying to reassure us, “we’re fine – we’ve got plenty.”) So, I was sure we were going to get stranded in that dark forest on an empty tank of gas. So, as an adult I’m overly cautious about filling up my tank:)
