My Blog Turns 10!

Jeez how has the time gone by so fast already? I got months behind on my blog again! Honestly it was because I have run out of free space and was debating if I wanted to continue with this little blog of mine because I’m going to have to pay for somewhere to store all my photos. Also I’m almost out of free space on WordPress as well so I have to decide if I’m going to pay to upgrade my space or start a new free one. Still deciding on that but I did decide to go ahead and purchase an account with Flickr to store my photos, it’s no longer free, BUMMER!

My little blog turned 10 in December. I know there aren’t too many people that read it anymore but we love having it as our little family record. Every once in a while the kids and I sit and go through the blog or there are times we can’t remember something and I can come here and find it to remind us. So I’m continuing with it even if I have to pay a little bit for it now.

Let’s take a look at some of the blogs I’ve posted over these 10 years. My first blog post was before the kids even turned 1. There are parts of me that wishes I had started it even earlier because I feel like I can’t remember so much of the kids first year. I also know we were in survival mode and just surviving that first year so I don’t think I would of even had the time or mindset to do it. I am thankful I started when I did though.

You can read that first post here: Little Red Rocking Chair Look at how little these 2 were!

We started making it a tradition to go to the coast and see Greg’s family for Labor Day Weekend when the kids were 1 you can read about that first trip here: Labor Day Weekend

I’ve documented all of Jayse’s surgeries over the years, except the first one when he was 3 months old but here is the first one I documented when he was a year old: Update on Surgery

Jaelee breaking her leg was to this date still one of the worst experiences as a parent. To relive that horrible memory take a look at this post: Broken

I got to go to Hawaii in 2011 for one of my best friends weddings. It was an amazing trip and I hope one day to get to go back there. You can read about how I survived a Tsunami here: Hawaii

Probably my favorite age and one of my favorite photoshoots with the kids was when they were 4. See them here: Four

Another great trip and a dream for Greg was when we got to go to Alaska, a moment he still talks about is going to this knife shop in Seward, read about it here: Alaska Day 7 – The Knife Shop

The family photoshoot that kinda started the whole Christmas card thing was when we all wore beards, still one of my favorites: Bearded Family Photos – Merry Beardmas

Can’t believe we are about to finish elementary school, here is the start: First day of Kindergarten!

When we got a boat and Greg got it fixed and we got to spend a day at the lake with family. He ended up somehow making Jess fall out of the boat, Mya still talks about this: Visitors from Oregon – Lake Day

When we moved to Kuna Jayse & Jaelee learned to ride their bikes! Jayse Riding His Bike

One my favorite moments to witness was the first Daddy daughter dance Greg and Jaelee went to, I’m glad the’ve continued the tradition for 3 years now! Daddy Daughter Dance

One of our best family vacations was when we went to Georgia and Florida. It was so epic there are many posts but you can read the start of it here: Georgia, we love you!

Snowmageddon of 2017 was awesome! I wish we would get snow like that again besides the kids I think I’m the only one though.

We got to go to Arizona for the first time and visit my sister and her family. Read the start of that trip here: Roadtrip – Vegas

Jayse had an epic football game in McCall during a snow storm, definitely something we will all remember. Football – Last Epic Game

We’ve been going to the McCall Winter Carnival since the kids were born practically but we made it a tradition to rent a cabin with my BFF for the last 5 years, soon to be 6! Last year was special being the fifth year. Take a look at these great group photos we got. McCall Quick Photoshoot – Year 5

I’m so glad we have one place where all of this is recorded to first days of school and last days to each Christmas and Thanksgiving Holiday. To the kids losing their first teeth and our multiple camping trips. It’s fun to look back. Hope those of you who have stuck around have enjoyed sharing the moments with us too.

Now I have 2 months of blogging to catch up on, get ready for post overload!
