For Greg’s work Christmas party this year they had their event at a park that makes snow that you can tube down. Greg did not want to go but I thought the kids would have a lot of fun. I knew if I asked the kids if they wanted to go they would say yes and beg Greg so he’d have to go. Turns out that’s exactly what happened. Greg was so mad at me he would not talk to me while we were there The kids had a lot of fun though and they had free doughnuts and hot chocolate. In the end I saw him talking to coworkers and he looked like he was having an ok time.
After we left there we went straight to the Botanical Gardens for their Winter Garden a Glow. We have gone every year since the kids were born only missing one or two years.
They had a lot of new interactive lights this year. One where you turned a steering wheel on a podium and when you turned it it would change the direction and where the lights were. They also had a light dome that you could change the colors, speed of lights and direction. You could also effect the lights with a rain stick. It was all very cool.
We also had to see Santa, to be honest I was not sure the kids would want to this year. They are on the fence especially Jayse. I asked them if they wanted to see him and Jaelee said of course but Jayse didn’t really want to. This year for Christmas all they wanted was a new phone. That is what Santa was going to bring them but when they told Santa that he told them he did not bring phones for Christmas because it was a monthly cost and that was something they had to negotiate with their parents. This makes complete sense but it threw a wrench in what Santa was bringing. 🤔
We had a great time as usual, got our hot chocolate and cider and looked at all the lights.
