Day 3 was a Monday. The kids were missing school but they do virtual school on Monday so we figured we’d bring their computers with us and they could do school from Mexico. They only do school until about noon so why not? One less day they miss. While they were in the hotel doing school Greg and I took an Uber to a Walmart to get some groceries. We’d learned pretty quick that we did not want to eat out for every meal – it’s a pain finding something and it’s expensive. We got a bunch of gatorade, bread, peanut butter, chips, beer and a few other snack items.

We noticed in Mexico they seemed to be treating COVID a bit different then they were in Idaho. We had to have a temp check every time we came back to our hotel. Had to wear masks anywhere indoors. At Walmart they had a security guard that stopped you before entering and made sure you put on hand sanitizer, had a mask on and did a temp check. I kinda liked this – glad they were taking it serious especially since we had to take a COVID test before we got back into the States. Made me feel more comfortable we’d have a negative result.

When we got back and the kids were done with school we went back to the pool and the beach. We brought googles for the kids so by the beach they’d dive and look for shells. They found some pretty neat ones. Luckily they found a really flat one cuz we ended up using that for a knife for our sandwiches cuz we forgot to get any utensils while at the store.

After hanging out in the water for hours we went back to our room got changed and went down to the marina. We walked around and found a nice Italian restaurant for dinner. It was a beautiful view of the marina just as the sun was setting. Another great day spent in Mexico.

We had seen a bat flying our first night there. Greg just knew there had to be some near by. He found them in our hotel.
