We added an extension to our counter 2 years ago and have had a slab of OSB on it since. I have been dying to get new countertops but we just haven’t found the time. The hardest part was that the extension didn’t match up with the other counter so we needed to find someone to help us build a base for the extension to match it. A neighbor had posted on NextDoor that she had her counters redone in Epoxy and they looked exactly like I wanted. I contacted her and she gave me the guy who did it’s information. He came over to our house and gave me an estimate to finish out our extension and then cover everything in Epoxy. It all happened very fast.
Within a week he was at our house working on the counters.
The weekend he came to do it Greg happened to be out hunting. Everything seemed to be going well until it wasn’t. When he started to put the design in I didn’t know the process so I didn’t know how to direct him and he was looking for more direction. It turned out awful. When he left I just couldn’t stop looking at it and how much I hated it. I tried calling Greg to get his advice but he was out of service. I called Darin and he advised me to call him and let him know I didn’t like it. I had a friend come over and look at it and she agreed it didn’t look good. So I did call him and he came back to fix it.
Luckily in the end it looked good. Much better than what we had before. Would I do it again? I’m not sure. the rumor that they stain easy is true. One drop of pickle juice and the counter looks like you left a highlighter on there leaking. Ours never set so we have dents in it when something heavy is left there. They do seem to go away though. It is easy to wipe and clean though.
This is how it looked at first, it looked like a cat stepped in paint and walked on the counters for me.

We couldn’t use the kitchen for weeks, everything had to be moved out. No counters, no oven. This was Jaelee and I’s dinner while Greg and Jayse were gone.

This is after he fixed it. The gray pattern was much more muted.

Love the counters! Kitchen looks great!! Home ownership is exhausting. Also, I couldn’t help notice the Inversion table in one of your pictures. I have the same one in my bedroom:)
Ha, yes! That’s Greg’s of course. He uses it quit a bit.
