The marching band went to Utah for their yearly away competition. It was in Riverton. They left Friday from school. This year they didn’t get to do a fun activity. They did stop at a park in Twin Falls for a picnic dinner. Then it was straight to the hotel and up in the morning to get ready.

Greg and I went down. We also left on Friday, we stayed with Jenelle.

We had some time before the competition on Saturday so I went into the mountains to get pictures of the fall colors. I wish I had more time and was more familiar with the area. It was beautiful but I wasn’t sure of exactly where to go. It was still nice to be in the mountains.

We went to the competition and met my mom there. It was HOT! It was 80 degrees in October. We were sweating our butts off. Besides that we had a great time! Every time we see the marching band they add something to it. This was the first time we’d seen them perform with the props.

They did really good and got 3rd in their division. There were some other really great bands Ogden blew me away! They had a really cool circus theme.

After the competition we went to dinner with Jenelle, Weston, Elijah and LaRee for an early birthday dinner for Jenelle. After dinner we headed home. We got back at 10ish. Jaelee road the bus home and got home at 3ish.

We all had a great time.
