Can’t believe senior night for football is here! Sadly, Jayse had been sick. I was sick the week before – with Covid and then he got it and was sick. He missed 2 days of school and 3 practices so he couldn’t play. He was feeling better by game night but he couldn’t play. We were able to do all the senior night stuff though. Phew – I would of been so sad to miss that. I thought I would cry more than I did. I talked with Greg about it after and he said it’s because the last 2 seasons of football have not been great and I think we are all just ready for it to be done. I have loved football, there is no where I’d rather be then sitting there for Friday night lights but it was also hard. To lose week after week, to see Jayse upset about not getting to play. Watching band coaching, bad refing. It was hard – it’s still bitter sweet to be near the end.
It was raining pretty good the whole time. We stayed to watch the band at halftime and left since Jayse wasn’t playing. This also happened to be opening day of deer so Greg was eager to leave and get out to our property so he could hunt early in the morning.
We played Timberline and lost 49-7.

All the moms got a rose.
They gave every family a yard sign.
And each senior this ribbon necklace with their number.
