The foothills right in town were on fire in July. This was just the beginning of fire season.

Greg had a couple of strawberries ripe in his garden.

Greg and I are trying a bunch of stuff. Trying to stay active yet keep it fun. This night we walked along the greenbelt near the river. We didn’t expect to walk as far as we did. When we had gone a mile we stopped and got some ice cream and water. Neither of were wearing shoes for that much walking so we rented scooters and rode those back. We stopped at the Sandbar for dinner. They had live music. It was a nice night.

A woman had this bird in a backpack that she pulled out and put on the railing. It attracted a lot of people wanting to see the bird.

We’ve been trying pickleball and I kinda love it.

Tried making fried rice and teriyaki chicken on our Blackstone for the first time. It turned out really good.

Made pesto chicken with our homemade pesto.

Greg heard this recipe on the radio for a high protein treat. He told me he was going to make it and I had to try it. It is cottage cheese that is blended and then you crumble in a package of biscoff cookies. Leave it overnight and then stir it after 24 hours. It is actually really good. Tastes just like cheesecake. We’ve made it a couple of times now.

Don’t get to see this kid as much anymore. He is working in HVAC and pretty much living at his girlfriends place. So I had to take a picture while he was here.

Still making homemade pizzas. The only kind Greg will eat now.
