On Sunday, Jaelee, Emma and I went to Art in the Park.
Jaelee and I have made a little tradition out of going together. We drive to the mall, park there and get on one of the school/shuttle buses that takes everyone downtown to the park. And, of course, we took our annual selfie on the bus. At this point, taking that picture is just part of the tradition.
We had a really nice afternoon. We walked around looking at all the different art and craft booths, stopped for some lunch and just enjoyed wandering around together.
We all ended up finding hats, which apparently was the purchase of the day. I also found a cute little onesie for my niece that I couldn’t pass up.
After a few hours of walking around, looking at everything and doing a little shopping, we headed back to the bus and rode back to the mall.
Nothing particularly exciting or dramatic—just a really nice Sunday spent with Jaelee and Emma, which is exactly what makes these little traditions worth keeping.
